Effective July 19, 2026
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to Glottie. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use Glottie. If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.
The service
Glottie provides AI-assisted spoken language practice, personalized learning plans, progress estimates, and review materials. Glottie is an educational practice service, not an accredited examination or formal CEFR certification. It is not a substitute for professional translation or legal, medical, immigration, financial, safety, or emergency advice.
Your account and acceptable use
You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple account and for activity under your Glottie account. You may not:
- break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or create harmful or abusive content;
- attempt to bypass subscriptions, metering, security, rate limits, or account restrictions;
- probe, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload Glottie except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- share access in a way that interferes with personalized learning or service integrity.
Subscriptions and purchases
Subscriptions, free trials, and additional minutes are purchased through the App Store and are also subject to Apple’s payment terms. The app displays the plan, billing period, price, and trial terms before purchase. Unless you cancel through your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends, a subscription renews automatically at the price shown by Apple. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and eligible refunds.
Deleting your Glottie account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in your Apple account settings.
AI output and learning feedback
AI-generated tutoring, corrections, translations, levels, and progress estimates may be incomplete or wrong. Speech recognition can also mishear a learner. Glottie uses multiple signals to reduce these errors, but you should review important information and tell the tutor when something seems incorrect.
Intellectual property
Glottie, its app design, branding, software, and service content are owned by Glottie or its licensors. You retain rights you have in what you say or submit. You grant Glottie a limited license to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, personalize, and support the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
We may change models, features, supported languages, limits, or service availability as the product evolves. We aim to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or a particular learning result.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, create risk, or misuse the service. You may stop using Glottie at any time and may permanently delete your account in the app.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glottie is provided “as is” and without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or guaranteed fluency outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glottie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the app or another reasonable channel before the change takes effect.
